With these vases you take home a piece of Murano glass history from the mid-20th century.
This Scozzese Series vase is made with canes with “double piera”. This technique consists in placing the colored glass rods that make up the design on two refractory surfaces, heating them and joining them at right angles to each other thus creating a weave similar to the Scottish Tartan. This type of processing was used by the Barovier artists in the first half of the 1900s.
