This particular vase is made with Murrine Millefiori. The individual murrine are placed next to each other, like the tiles of a mosaic, on a refractory surface, heated and fused together with the glassy mass that will form the vase.
The random combination of the various designs and colors of the Murrine makes each vase special and unique.
The bottom of the vase is deliberately “imperfect” with the prop, an unequivocal sign that the object was opened by hand.
Sizes and colors may not correspond exactly to the photo as each piece is unique in execution.
