The spherical line of this hand-made Murano glass and mouth-blown vase enhances the elaborate interweaving of the design with the vein of color that recalls the characteristic shell of sea cicadas called “canoce” in Venetian dialect.
The bottom of the vase is deliberately “imperfect” with the prop, an unequivocal sign that the object was opened by hand.
