Thanks to these innovations and new technologies, the Murano artisans were able to invent ever more original methods to create decorative objects made with a variety of different materials: metal alloys treated in kilns (plaster molds), ceramics (terra Sigillata), semi-precious stones (agate) etc. which were then combined with the molten glass in furnaces heated to over 1000 ° C.
